Payment & Collection Policy

Egy Stay applies a clear and secure payment and collection policy designed to protect the rights of both guests and hosts, while ensuring transparency and payment security across the platform.


1. Accepted Payment Methods

  • Payments on Egy Stay are limited to approved bank cards, including debit and credit cards.

  • Cash payments or transfers made outside the platform are not accepted.


2. Payment Security

  • Egy Stay does not store any bank card details, including card numbers, expiration dates, or CVV codes.

  • All payments are processed through certified electronic payment gateways in compliance with international security standards.

  • The platform applies all necessary technical and organizational measures to protect user data and prevent unauthorized access.


3. Payment Process and Booking Confirmation

  1. The payment process begins when the guest submits a booking request through the platform.

  2. A booking request is not confirmed until it is accepted by the host.

  3. Once accepted, the platform sends a secure payment link to the guest to complete the payment.

  4. The booking is confirmed only after successful payment, and the full booking amount is charged to the guest.


4. Funds Management and Host Payouts

  • Egy Stay holds the booking amount in escrow throughout the stay period.

  • The booking amount is transferred to the host after the stay is completed successfully, according to the platform’s payout policies.

  • The platform reserves the right to deduct applicable service fees or commissions before transferring funds to the host.


5. Fees and Taxes

  • Prices displayed on the platform are set by the host and may or may not include taxes or governmental fees, as indicated on the booking page.

  • Each party is responsible for fulfilling their tax obligations in accordance with applicable Egyptian laws.


6. Failed or Cancelled Payments

  • If a payment fails for any reason, such as bank rejection or card expiration, the booking remains unconfirmed until payment is completed successfully.

  • The platform is not responsible for delays or payment failures caused by the issuing bank or payment service provider.

  • Egy Stay reserves the right to automatically cancel a booking if payment is not completed within the specified timeframe.

  • No unit is considered officially booked until payment is confirmed and an electronic confirmation is issued.


7. Payment Disputes

  • In the event of any dispute related to payments or charges, users must contact Egy Stay support through official channels.

  • The platform may temporarily withhold payouts until the dispute is resolved, without constituting a breach of its obligations.


8. Acknowledgments

By using Egy Stay services, you acknowledge and agree that:

  • All payments are made voluntarily and with prior consent.

  • You are the legal owner of the payment method used.

  • You are aware of the applicable cancellation and refund policy for each booking.

  • You are responsible for any bank or external transfer fees related to payments or refunds.


9. General Provisions

  • Completing a payment through the platform constitutes explicit acceptance of this Payment & Collection Policy.

  • Egy Stay reserves the right to amend this policy at any time, with changes effective upon publication on the platform.
