Off-Platform Transactions Policy

Egy Stay is committed to providing a secure and trustworthy environment for all users, including hosts and guests.
To protect user rights, all bookings, payments, and related communications must be conducted exclusively through the official Egy Stay platform.

Any transactions outside the platform are strictly prohibited.

1. Introduction

This policy aims to prevent fraud, protect user rights, and ensure that all rental-related transactions are properly documented within the platform.

2. Definition of Off-Platform Transactions

An off-platform transaction includes, but is not limited to, the following:

Direct communication between host and guest to complete a booking or payment outside the platform.
Exchanging personal phone numbers, bank accounts, or payment details to finalize transactions externally.
Offering or accepting bookings or stay extensions via external channels such as messaging apps, private calls, or in-person agreements without platform documentation.
Transferring funds directly between parties without using Egy Stay’s approved payment gateway.

3. Purpose of This Policy

This policy is designed to:

Protect users from fraud and undocumented transactions.
Safeguard financial and legal rights through secure in-platform payment systems.
Maintain transparency and integrity of the platform.
Ensure the platform’s entitlement to service fees that support security, support, and technical operations.

4. Risks of Off-Platform Transactions

Users acknowledge that engaging in off-platform transactions:

Voids any right to protection, support, or compensation from Egy Stay.
Releases the platform from any liability for financial loss or disputes.
Constitutes a violation of the Terms of Use and may result in permanent account suspension.

5. Penalties and Enforcement

If off-platform activity is confirmed or suspected, Egy Stay reserves the right to:

Temporarily suspend the account pending investigation.
Cancel all related bookings.
Deduct or confiscate any amounts due as a result of the violation.
Permanently terminate the account and prohibit future registration.
Take legal action if material damage or reputational harm occurs.

6. Limited Exceptions

External communication is permitted only under the following conditions:

After a booking has been officially confirmed through the platform, and solely for logistical purposes such as check-in coordination.
Communication must use contact details provided automatically by the platform after confirmation.
No financial transactions or off-platform agreements are permitted under any circumstances.

7. Reporting Obligation

If a user receives any request to complete a booking or payment outside the platform,

8. General Provisions

Any off-platform transactions are not legally recognized within the Egy Stay system.
The platform reserves the right to take all necessary technical and legal actions to enforce this policy.
This policy is governed by Egyptian law and interpreted in line with principles of security and transparency in electronic transactions.
